“Interesting music for flute and alto”
The repertoire for alto flute is rapidly expanding, and this book of mixed duets is a nice addition to the intermediate level. Each of these 12 short pieces has a different character and challenges the players without overstretching a developing alto technique. The book is not strictly progressive so pairs can be successfully put together for concert performance. This is a great book to encourage both ensemble and an understanding of the differences between types of flutes and will delight players of all abilities.
Flute and Alto Flute Duets. A collection of 12 charming duets in roughly ascending order of difficulty. Approximately grade 4 - 8 in standard, incorporating some tricky rhythms and unexpected key changes, these little 'fruits' are a lovely addition to the mixed duet repertoire.

Difficulty level, roughly compared to ABRSM exam grades. 0 is total beginner, 9 is advanced (beyond grade 8).
