“Charming Popp!”
Beaumadier has a really good habit of unearthing excellent piccolo music to edit, and this is another winner. It's only moderately difficult and could be easily performed by 3 students. After a strong introduction, the Gavotte dances along merrily with the piccolos mainly in 3rds and 5ths and unison rhythm. Light tonguing alternates withcantabile writing - this is Popp at his most charming!
