In the Berlin State Library I came across the first print of 6 Trios opus 1 for 2 flutes and violoncello or bassoon by JC Baumberg , the beauty of which surprised me very much. So it was all the more astonishing for me when I continued to study this composer that almost no information about him can be found in old encyclopedias. A sparse entry in one of these old encyclopedias was not even clear about the composer's first name; only these 6 Trios op. 1 are listed in the list of works .
