This is a delightful trio by the Danish composer Simoni Dall Croubelis (c1727 - c1790) which is completly suitable for intermediate level players wanting to gain more experience of playing chamber music. It was written as a teaching piece for younger students and is cleverly constructed. The key is a friendly G major with simple rhythms and a great deal of unity between the parts. The D major Andante uses demi-semiquavers to decorate the simple melody and the last movement 3/8 Vivace back in G major is short and sweet. Ornamentation can be a simple or complex as you like. Valuable and nice!
