The combination of 2 flutes and cello is a lovely one and these two trios by Carl Freidrich Abel will really add depth to the choice of available.repertoire. Each trio is in a fast slow,fast format. No 1 in G major is the slightly easier of the two, with simple rhythms and straightforward structures. No 2 in D major has a little more complexity of writing between the parts. Both are quite delightful and a great way to introduce the less experienced to the world of chamber music.
