Christopher Papendiek was a pupil of Wendling whose works for flute are becoming increasingly popular. This is the first published edition of the Trio, a three movement work with all the elements typical of its era. The score comes with interesting and informative notes by Michael Kassler, whose books include The Memoirs of Charlotte Papendiek (Christopher's wife) and The Music Trade in Georgian England.
Michael Kassler reconstructed the Trio from the composer's original manuscripts, and it received its new world premiere in Australia in 2016.
