This four movement work is just wonderful! We start our travels 'A long time ago' which uses harmonics and rhythm against a melody to take us back to the future. Another rhythmic cell characterises 'Tritonus Dance', giving a more sweeping line a gritty edge.The colours of 'Spain' are beautifully evoked, whilst 'On the other side of the pond' is simply a dance in ragtime. Every movement is a winner!
