Each (piece) in a different way gives expression to the feelings of the people for their land and their heritage, at times wild and grand, at others dancing with vigour and at yet others reflective and plaintive. Manoukian asks that the music be played freely, like a cadenza, conveying a mood of philosphical contemplation.
