“Strange but interesting!”
This is a strange but interesting duet that mixes some contemporary techniques with a driving rhythmic jazz-inspired riff. The opening direction is 'caffeine-stimulated' and the music does have a frenetic feel about it. Cross-accents propel the players forward and the time-changes have a most destabilizing effect. The techniques employed here are limited to timbre changes - breath notes, embouchure undulation and timbral trills - so this aspect is not so daunting. Not for the faint-hearted this one - but great fun!
