Muczynski is always energetic and these three Preludes are no exception. Both outer movements are marked 'spirited' and the contrasting Andante, although free and expressive, still has the angularity of phrasing that characterizes all three of these miniatures. Muczynski extracts much out of the flute and the challenge of learning this style of music shouldn't be missed!
