“Easier Drouet!”
Drouet is probably best known as a writer of more challenging flute music but these delightful duets are very manageable. Taken from the original for sonatas for flute and piano, the second part is actually the bass part of the ('very late') figured bass that Drouet used in his initial composition. It does mean that the parts are not very well balanced in terms of who plays the tune but as an introduction to this type of music these pieces can't be faulted. Delightful in either this version or the original.
