This is kind of like a game of ‘Pass The Parcel’ but where no-one ends up getting a prize – relentless short notes are thrown around the group, with punches and twiddling figures illustrating a frenetic excitement that could also be terror. There are a couple of movements of stability, with a soaring tune that doesn’t seem to know where it’s going, but otherwise, it’s a musical hot potato that almost everyone is keen to drop.
