Also available: Beethoven - Coriolan Overture
These two arrangements of standard orchestral pieces for wind quintet will make a good addition to the teaching repertoire. Both are handled with great skill, the textures of the original being reproduced as much as is possible. The fact that the players won't learn the proper parts is offset by the real insight they will gain into the music. For example, the opening of Coriolan is extremely effective and the slow movement of the Mozart follows the true orchestration as much as is possible. A must for music libraries.
The arrangement of Mozart's Symphony in G minor contains the complete four-movement work excellently adapted for winds. The publication contains a reference score and parts.
