Chopin is considered to have been the founder of what was a new style of sensitive virtuoso piano playing among the Romantics. Heinrich Heine made the telling comment about him that “He is not only a virtuoso, he is also a poet”. This volume contains original piano compositions such as Preludes, Mazurkas , Waltzes and Polonaises, along with arrangements of the loveliest themes from his two Piano Concertos, three pieces of chamber music and a song.
