If you're looking for something new to play and you haven't heard of the Norwegian composer Sverre Jordan before this is a great piece to explore. In three movements, the style is romantic with sweeping phrases and rippling accompaniment. The opening Allegro moderato punctuates an elegant tune with some staccato interjections. the Romance is charmingly simple and the Allegretto scherzando trips along with light tonguing and plenty of notes. It's lovely - give it go and you won't be disappointed!
