This compilation chosen by Louis Moyse has rather slipped under the radar of late but it's packed with goodies! A who's who of flute music from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods, including composers as varied as Couperin, Beethoven and Bizet, there is plenty to satisfy everyone. Original music and some sensitive arrangements of well-known classics ensure that that this is a book that you can return to indefinitely and the new addition of the CD where you can play along with the accompaniment is an added bonus. It's great and a very worth-while investment.
