A dramatic “tour de force” during which both performers recite the text. Mystical and lyrical sections contrast with intense and explosive passages. The percussion includes vibes, bells, roto toms, bass drum, tambourine, cowbell, cymbals, wind chimes, bell tree, tam-tam, temple blocks, maracas and a lion roar.
