It seems that Siegfried Ochs had a great talent in writing humorous pieces. Almost all of his works have fallen into oblivion. Yet, he will always be remembered for his piano piece with the original title:"Ein deutsches Volkslied - im Stile älterer und neuerer Meister, humoristisch bearbeitet von Siegfried Ochs". Already available in a variety of orchestrations, it can now also be enjoyed by flutists and their audiences.
