Seen by Grove and Mist has something of a dreamscape about it. It's a substantial piece and needs accomplished players with good ensemble skills to bring it to life. The opening Prelude in six flats is lovely with the flutes all weaving around each other creating mesmerising sounds. The Sonatina is more robust, alternating fast, more rhythmic material with cantabiles reminiscent of the Prelude in texture. If you need something completely different to play this could be just the piece for you!
