Charlotte Bray uses a full range of contemporary tonal techniques to create her 'Secret' soundworld. This short but sweet duet packs in open and closed mouthpiece playing, whistle tones, air tones, timbral trills and normal colours to give the piece its interest. Tongue rams punctutate the texture and key clicks are used cleverly. 'Extremely calm, whispered' - it really does sound like keeping a Secret!
