This is such a beautiful piece! Written in about 1884, Bruneau has accompanied his sumptuous melody with a flowing accompaniment. Pure French pleasure!
Mellow and expressive in character with much use of the low register and swirls of notes, full of French character. Alfred Bruneau composed this piece was written for Taffanel. A few revisions from the original have been made for this edition by Roz Trubger in order to make it more suited to the modern piano.
