ALAN HOPE 1916-1985
Alan Hope was born in Eastbourne, Sussex, England, and pursued a career in accountancy although music was the dominant interest of his life.
His accomplishments as a pianist and organist were secondary to his interest in composition. Much of his music was for local entertainment, but a few works of ambitious character reveal true creative talent, and are published posthumously.
