This is a lovely book. These simple pieces by composers such as Susato, Praetorius and Dowland (my favourite) can be played alone or grouped into suites. Also included are Three Dances from Playford's Dancing Master and an arrangement of Greensleeves to a ground. Steve Rosenberg has restricted his editing to the occasional ornament and breathing marks, and this, coupled with the excellent standard of printing, has resulted in very clear and uncluttered music. I know that you can find easy Renaissance music in other albums but it's not as good as this!
