This is a transcription of the very famous piano sonata that includes the Rondo alla Turca. The first movement consists of the theme and variations, some of which are quite challenging and Hoffmeister manages to make them all sound Mozartian. There is then a charming Minuet and Trio before the Rondo kicks in. This is really lovely music and I'm sure it will become very popular with flute quartets up and down the land.
