There is an increasing number of pieces for this combination being published and this one deserves a special mention. The writing throughout gives the flute great prominence, with the string parts playing an accompanying role. Whilst this might not suit everyone, it makes it useful for various circumstances such as for an instrument demonstration or a school ensemble. Alternatively you could play it simply because it is a lovely piece!
