Pere Alcon studied brass and woodwind instrument repair at the Llangunllo school.
With a strong interest for instrument making, he received training at B&S and Selmer.
Over the years, he specialized in flute repair, obtaining the Straubinger Pad certificate and being a Muramatsu authorized technician. He has collaborated with brands like Muramatsu, Powell and Yamaha, repairing at flute showcases and events. He studied wooden headjoint making with Robert Bigio, and learnt the seamed tube techniques and metal headjoint making from Master Yoshiteru Akiyama in Tokyo.
