Not much is known about Auguste Bonneville, other than that he originally worked for the Clair Godfroy company, the same company where Louis Lot had earlier worked (and co-owned) for many years. In 1876 he establised his own flutemaking business in Paris.
This flute blows well and is highly recommended for a player looking for an authentic French sound.
This flute has recently been serviced by Andrew Oxley and tuned to a modern scale A440Hz. It is in good condition throughout.
