Hermann Regner is an experienced and well-versed music teacher, even in his capacity as a composer. His 5 miniatures 'Hirtenmusik' are a small selection of enthusiastic and joyously resonant little pieces which are perfect for lessons and auditions. Alternating between fast and slow tempo, the miniatures jump into a plethora of moods and soundscapes. The 'transparently' composed movements, like the Phrygian largo, demand quality of tone, and the compact movements require nimble fingers.
