The studies give both the performing orchestral musician and the studying bassoonist the opportunity to get to know and work on Mahler's works during their training. Important solo and tutti passages for 1st to 4th bassoon and contrabassoon have been generously selected in a very clear and comprehensive form. The editor Piesk, a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra for 40 years, has contributed his rich and diverse experience.
