“Evocative music for alto flute”
This is quite a sad piece but a beautiful one. The key is C minor and the hamonies are muted, allowing the simple melody it's full flow. Placed in the centre of the alto range, this is a lovely work for an emerging player. Expensive but worth it.
Originally composed for soprano saxophone, William Noll has re-arranged this work to showcase the beauty of the alto flute. An excellent solo for students, this work has been recorded on the CD Shadows. 2012 NFA Newly Published Music Competition - HONORABLE MENTION
