These three books complement the Funky Flute tutor books which are all aimed at younger players. Although they are not as colourfully presented, they are still very appealing to look at and the music inside is nice and large. There is a clear fingering chart for all the notes needed in each book - a very welcome addition. The music well-written and manages to find many different ways in which to make a limited number of notes interesting and maintain a feeling of progress. My only reservation is that the flute on the CDs is synthetic and is therefore not a great example of how to sound good. Nor does it take a breath!
