This is a great book which mixes diatonic, chromatic and whole tone scales with challenging rhythms. For example, an exercise initally written in 7/16 is then repeated in 3/8 to ensure that you can play the difference. There are also examples of time changes and changes of grouping within an exercise to prevent autopilot practice. The entire range of the flute is used too so this really is a complete workout. Never a dull moment!
