The familarity of the classical genre, Haydn's fabulous piece and a very good arrangement makes this lovely work very accessible and great fun to play. That's not say it isn't without its challenges. All the parts are agile, and there is a lot of interplay between them. Both the bass and alto players need stamina to last the course as they prop up the entire structure and drive the music forward. Everyone absolutley adores it though - it's brilliant!
