One of Piazzolla's most well known works, this piece marks the composer's break from Classical Tango to Tango Nuevo, so it seems fitting that Libertango exists for many different instrumentations. This Flute Choir setting opens with a swirling solo flute above held chords, before the driving ostinato rhythms herald the start of the dance. A thrilling piece for a large or small ensemble!
