This classic piece of solo flute music lends itself very well to a transcription for flute choir. Here, the theme and ten of the origianal variations are passed around the piccolo and top flute parts which is a really successful way to encourage more solo playing with the group. The alto flute also has a chance to shine and the bass holds it all together. A harp is a luxury, a piano or electric keyboard too but this arrangement can easily stand alone. A classic re-imagined with style.
