“Wonderful music, wonderful transcription!”
Tombeau de Couperin by Ravel is a wonderful piece and here it has been skilfully transcribed by Erik Norby. Most of the original melodic writing has been shared between 1st and 2nd flutes with the alto and bass providing colour and texture. There are some tricky corners to be negotiated in all parts but this is a great way to learn this important work. Worth every penny.
