The suite Le Livre de l'Aurore (The Book of Dawn) for flute and piano, published in 1926 in Paris, is a collection of twelve character pieces in the manner of Claude Debussy's Children's Corner. The humorous, very diversified miniatures with imaginative titles are composed in the late Romantic style, techinically varied and harmonically colourful.
