There is a certain melancholy in this piece that is rather appealing. Of course there's the usual Kohler format of slow introduction, theme, faster section then even faster section all interspersed with virtuoso cadenzas but somehow the gentleness is maintained right though until the major appears at the end. Something a little different? Almost!
