Büchner wrote 3 concert waltzes for flute and piano, all of which adhered to the romantic spirit of his time and were easy to drink, so that with the concert waltz op. 27 we have a piece of music that should still delight every listener today.
The first print, on which this new edition is based, was published in 1893 by Julius Heinrich Zimmermann in Leipzig.
