Although you might think 'oh no, not another playalong' this is worth considering if you are introducing improvisation to younger students. The pieces are all quite straightforward and based on simple 8bar grooves in styles ranging from Afro to Hungarian folk music. The CD is good with speeds well set and each part is recorded separately. There is no performance track, just a more upbeat version of the groove so it is easy to make up your own music over the top. Everything has been well produced and it's all great fun!
