This sopranino saxophone is a great little addition to a saxophone collection. For an instrument that is inherently out of tune, the Atom is remarkably well tuned, with any intonation issues easily fixed with basic alternative fingerings. It is easy blowing with a rich sound, and is wonderfully lacking in any shrill quality that is so common at this register. You will not a find a better instrument in this price range.

Our Description

This is a reliable and inexpensive way to introduce a good top line to yourself or your ensemble. The keywork is nicely finished and the rose brass body adds depth to the tone thus avoiding the shrillness that is so often present with these saxes. With especially good tuning on Ab & Eb, the JP146 Atom is well known for matching the performance level of instrument many times its price.
