The Irish songs presented here were chosen because of their quality and the fact that they convey their special effect also without the words being sung. They are representative for the melancholy as well as the merry features of the Irish music.
There are various possibilities of performance:
– solo soprano recorder
– soprano and alto recorder
– soprano recorder with piano or any other harmony instrument
– soprano and alto recorder with piano or any other harmony instrument
Instead of the realisation of a piano accompaniment the conventional chord symbols have been placed above the melody in order that for instance guitar, accordion or harp can be chosen as an accompaniment.
