“A classic!”
In this clever arrangement of The Hebrides overture, Mendelssohn's writing is transcribed with great skill. The flutes take on the role of the strings and the alto and bass flutes give weight to the texture. This allows the piccolo to really shine in the orchestral flute part. Yes, it's pricey but you'll get your money's worth over the years.
