Gary Schocker writes particularly well for two flutes and piano and these three pieces are no exception. The first journey is By Camel and the writing places us firmly on the back of the animal in the desert and it's not always comfortable. By Canoe has us drifting down the river with flowing semiquavers on effortless fashion and By Private Appointment uses a strong rhythmic style and cascades of notes to speed us on our way. It works and it's fun - perfect!
