Fun for Flutes is simply a nice collection of flute trios enhanced by a well-produced backing CD. Written in simply keys, the rhythms are also fairly straightforward with 2 of the parts often in tandem and in a style that could best be describes as popular. The CD has 5 tracks per piece giving a choice of either full performance, accompaniment only or performance minus one of each of the parts. This will just be so popular - promise!
This is an ideal book for anyone who plays in an ensemble or is taking lessons. The six appealing, modern pieces are perfect for the flute and can be used very flexibly - this is helped by the great play-along CD. These pieces are suitable for players with some playing experience.
