“And why not?!”
If you don't mind your classics arranged for two flutes you might find this book really useful. There are some real technical challenges here which means that the character of the original comes across more clearly, and some of the duets are more substantial than you would normally expect from this type of compilation. There are details about each one which is interesting too. The whole presentation tells you that this should be a fun experience, which belies the fact that the book is actually quite hard! Classics for two flutes made difficult? I say yes!
The Flying Flute Book of Devilish Duets for Advanced Flutes comprises 13 unsettling duets for daring flute players. (All famous classics, and not for the faint-hearted!)
