This piece is the pick of a very good series of quartets for beginner and intermediate level flute players. It makes good use of a simple rag rhythm, mainly used by all four players together in harmony but there is a small element of independence introduced now and again. My younger group loved this one and they also enjoyed Flute Cha Cha and the Paso Doble Parody. The easier titles in this series are well suited to multiple flutes as the parts are rhythmically linked, and the harder quartets are really quite challenging. A welcome addition to the teaching repertoire, and reasonably priced too.
