The three flute duos op. 9, like the 6 brilliant brilliant flute duets op. 19 (20019 and 20042), are still predominantly still clinging to the classical spirit, even if romantic approaches appear in the slow movements. For lovers of duet playing this music is a wonderful discovery, full of melodic surprises always on a technically manageable level.
Due to the length of the individual duets, I have decided in these 3 duos for an edition with score and solo parts to comply with both the desire for score form, as well as a playable without interruptions version by single voices. The turning points have been carefully selected and tested in practice, sometimes necessitating right hand turning during the game.
