It is hoped that this edition will end the descrepancy between the hitherto available literature and the reality of Mozart's concerto. Apart from writing a musicologicaly clean version of the solo part, the publisher was particularly motivated to produce a good sounding piano accompaniment which should be playable without requiring hours of practice, and also be as close as possible the the original score.
