This is a strange piece that starts in a minimalist style, has a contemporary techniques cadenza in the middle and rounds off with a sort of a jig. The opening marking is tetu (stubborn) with strong but straightforward rhythmic writing which avoids high notes. The cadenza will obviously require a bit of skill aquisition but there is a full explanation of the symbols and how to play them. The final part is fast and gets faster, ending on an unexpected D major chord. If you like your flute music quirky this is definitely for you!
